Employee Basics

Entering Your Hours

Gone are the days of paper timesheets! At EIR Labour Hire, we have an app that you can use on your mobile device, laptop or PC to be able to enter your hours either daily or weekly. By submitting your hours on our app, this gets emailed directly to your supervisor and we’ll take care of the rest from there, just make sure your hours are entered by Sunday 5PM of the week you worked so we can process your pay on time. It’s very important to get your hours submitted by our cut off as it’s hard to ensure you’ll get paid on time if it’s been submitted after 5PM.

Your Pay

EIR Labour Hire is well known in the industry for being a good employer. We are proud to pay at or above the modern award, which is the construction industry instrument for pay and conditions of employment.

Our pay week runs from Monday to Friday and we pay WEEKLY! Every week, we email you your payslip and your funds are transferred by our bank to your nominated bank account. To be paid we need you to set up some details in our Pay Portal, the log in details will be sent to you once your first submitted shift has been approved. You can add and edit your bank details, super details and tax details here.

Check out the video below on how to set yourself up.

Your Tax Obligations

When you first join us, you must complete a Tax Declaration Form. This determines how much tax you will pay based on your circumstances. You can use this calculator to work out the tax you will pay.

Your Superannuation

Superannuation is the Australian Government’s way of helping people save for their retirement. EIR contributes to the superannuation fund of your choice on top of your ordinary time earnings. It’s compulsory for you to have a Superannuation fund. If you don’t provide us with one, we set up an account for you with Australian Retirement Trust and make the payments there.

You will earn superannuation each week and you will see the amount detailed in your payslip. EIR makes a lump sum payment into the superannuation fund of your choice every quarter (3 months). You get statements and reports each quarter from your superfund, so make sure you keep your contact details up to date with them.
